Hugh McTavish is the founder and Executive Director of Jury Democracy USA and the inventor of the concept of Jury Democracy.

Hugh ran for Governor of Minnesota in 2022 with a third party on a platform of Jury Democracy and on sharing the planet and the state of Minnesota with wild species, and on the radical idea of governing for happiness instead of maximizing GDP.

 

Hugh is a Ph.D. biochemist and a patent attorney. He has authored 18 refereed scientific journal articles and is the inventor on 21 U.S. patents. He is CEO of two pharmaceutical companies that he started off of his own inventions—IGF Oncology, LLC, for targeted cancer drugs and Squarex Pharmaceutical Corp. for a topical treatment that improves immune function and prevents cold sores or oral herpes virus outbreaks.  That compound is now available for sale at Square-Immune.com.
